Concerts

The Sibelius Museum arranges it’s own concert series, the Wednesday series, that runs during the fall and spring seasons. The museum also hosts many other concerts arranged by other parties; choirs, individuals and groups.

The weekly Wednesday concerts are among the most noticeable events arranged at the Sibelius Museum. The “Wednesday series” – concerts of about an hour every Wednesday evening during the fall and spring seasons – first started in the fall of 1968 and is still running. This appreciated concert series features artists both from Finland and from abroad. Nowadays the genres in the Wednesday series range from classical chamber music to folk music and jazz.
